“Split
up, you said. It’ll be fine, you said”.
Mimicking Mac, as he checked in
the rear view if any of the thugs made it out of the hectic car chase
just minutes prior.

“I’ll admit, it wasn’t my best plan. But
things could be worst”.
A crack of thunder followed by a severe downpour erupted from the sky.
To add to the bad luck Mac’s car made a rumble, then one of the tyres deflated.

Breathing deeply, you rested an elbow on the window sill. “You were saying”.

“One of them
must of shot a tyre, I have a spare in the trunk”.
He proceeded to open
the door.

“Are you crazy, you can’t go out there”. Another roar of thunder cracked across the dark grey sky proving your point.

He
knew you were just looking out for his well-being. However, between
phone service being out of reach, coms disconnected and the potential
for the thugs to catch up, Mac had to fix the car quickly and
efficiently to get back to the meet up point in time. “It’ll only take a minute, be my eyes in case trouble shows”.
A firm grip on the gun and eyes scanning up ahead, the coast seemed to
be clear. Either the thugs chasing you regrouped or you and Mac simply
lost them while driving like a manic in the small rural town. From your
peripheral vision Mac was struggling against the harsh elements. “What are you doing?. Get back in the car, Y/N”. He shouted over the belting wind and rain while attempting to secure the spare tyre.

Even though most of you was covered, the rain still felt like sharp needles against your skin. “I’m helping, there’s no way you can do this on your own in this kind of weather. We lost the thugs, we should be okay”.
Proceeding to loosen the flat trye, a strike of lightning hit close by.
Mac grabbed your hands and the two of you, for the time being,
abandoned the flat trye operation and settled in the backseat of his
Jeep. You didn’t realize how much your body was shivering until Mac
cranked up the car’s heater.

“I think we may need to lay low for a while, just until the storm passes”.
Mac replied, removing his jacket. Your eyes gazed over his blue collar
shirt. The small water droplets falling from his fringe adding to the
already drenched material. Slipping off your shoes, underneath sat a
pool of water, making you shiver again. Mac opened up his arms and he
smiled. “Body heat, it’ll warm us up faster”.

“I’m fine with the heater”. Stuttering out a semi-audible reply.

Mac
moved closer. And since the car was already an small enclosed space, he
didn’t have to put much effort in the move until his legs were touching yours. “Y/N, for once stop being stubborn. You’re freezing, I can see it. So let me help warm you up”. You surrendered defeat, resting against Mac’s chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat. “See, I can feel us getting warmer already”. He stated, a little bit of sass to indicate I told you so.

The
rain was still beating heavily against the car, no signs of slowing
down. Another smaller jolt of lightning flashed meters away, causing the
heater to go on the fritz. “How safe are we in here?”. Asking Mac.

“Safer then if we tried out luck out there. As far as I can see there’s no other places for shelter around”.

It
was silence for no more then five minutes, until Mac noticed the wound
you obtained by one of the merciless thugs had slightly re-opened. “You’re bleeding again”. He informed you, carefully rolling up the ends of your shirt. “I think there’s still some spare bandages in here somewhere”. He leaned forward, rummaging through the cars several compartments. You winched when Mac placed the bandage across the wound. “I’m sorry”.

“It’s fine, I just forgot how much it hurt”.
Sucking in a breath, trying to laugh the pain off.

“You’re still cold, aren’t you?”. He pointed to your shaking, pale hands.

“I’m-”.
Staring into his blue eyes, something clicked. A feeling that perhaps
was always lingering, yet, overlooked. Mac could feel it too. It was now
completely  magnetic to ignore or push to the side. “Body heat”. You abruptly uttered.

“Body heat”. He whispered back, pressing his lips to yours.

After
the mission, Matty insisted on medical check-ups. The doctors orders
were simply to take it easy and a good nights rest. Planning to do just
that, you thanked Mac for walking you to the door.

“Those are the most words you’ve said to me since the car”. You could feel his breath on the back of you neck. “I know why you’ve been avoiding me”. Turning you around, there was no hiding now.
“And I know this is the part where you try and give me your best it was
a mistake speech. But mistake isn’t the word to describe
what happened”.

“And how would you describe it?”. Challenging him.

Mac leaned forward. “Passionate”. He whispered, fingers following the waistband of the blue jeans. “The
way you felt wrapped around me. The way my name rolled of those
beautiful lips of yours. The way we came together. All of it, everything
we did, I don’t want either of us to forget”.
Kissing your exposed
neck, you closed your eyes, remembering all the finer details. Melting
into his touch, he took things to the next level, intimately keeping eye
contact with you, knowing exactly how to bring you to a quick release
with just his hand.

“Come inside”. He smirked, however, you made it abundantly clear that talking it through was going to be the only thing on the agenda.

“The only question that needs to be answered is will you be my girlfriend?”. He asked, pressing you up against the dinning table.

“I think us sleeping together while on a mission answers that question”. Suppressing the urge to smile as you watched his cheeks heat up.

Mac beamed with happiness, his body with excitement. “Then we have nothing else to discuss tonight”. Lifting the shirt of your head, his hands roamed every inch of bare skin.

Your focus wanted to be on Mac, but the realistic side jumped out.. “How will this all work, us dating and working together?”.

He placed you on top of the table
and left you feeling breathless from the unexpected lust driven kiss. “We’ll talk about it all tomorrow, I promise. Right now just let me make love to you again”.
His words ignited a different wave of shivers, ones that you craved to
experience again. And all through the night you felt Mac in ways that
were unforgettable.

It’s a quarter after three, saying everything we mean

He
just showed up, overnight bag in hand, an unspoken plea to allow him to
stay. Two cups of steaming orange and cinnamon tea, you waited for Mac
to explain this sudden visit. Los Angeles to Mission City was a decent
commute and Mac wouldn’t of made such a tiresome trip if not for a
good reason. “I set you up in the guest room”. Starting the conversation
with a light topic when Mac remained mute. He simply nodded, taking a
sip. “How was the drive up?”.

“Peaceful”. He replied.

It
was becoming clear that Mac was in no mood to delve into the reason behind
showing up. You cleared your throat, pouring the tea down the drain. “Thanks for letting me, you know, stay”.
Smiling warmly, your door was always open to Mac. Day or night. Rain or sunshine. Bidding you a goodnight, he hesitated, eventually he made the conscious decision to retire to bed.

As you got ready – brushing teeth, moisturizing face and slipping into black athleisure wear, you contemplated calling Jack. Yet, as you stared at his phone contact, your thumb couldn’t bring itself to press the small green button. On a small scale it felt wrong. You wanted Mac to be the one to tell you the full story, to hear the words come out of his mouth and not someone else’s.

Just as you were ready to fall asleep, you heard little noises – cups clinking together or feet shuffling. Inspecting the source, Mac’s silhouette shone on the wall. He’d respectfully dimmed the lights and was trying to maneuver around the kitchen like a quiet mouse. “What are you doing?”. Asking the blonde who glanced up, startled.

“I just wanted a glass of water”. Replying, taking a reasonable size mouthful. If you had to venture a guess Mac only spent a portion of the night asleep. “I know this must be weird, me showing up”.

“Well I wasn’t expecting my ex-boyfriend to come knocking on my door, that’s for sure”. Collapsing on the couch. Mac leaned back, his body stiff, like he was carrying a heavy load of secrets and pressure on his shoulders. “So, am I going to get that explanation?”.

He exhaled, you’d hit a sore spot. “My father is Overwatch. His been under my nose this entire time and didn’t bother to let me know, so I quit the Phoenix”.

The revelation he’d walked away from a job he absolutely loved, stunned you beyond comprehension. “But you’re going back, aren’t you?”. Shrugging his shoulders, he let that question linger. “Mac, you can’t ignore this. Your dad is still going to be Overwatch no matter how much time passes. You really going to tell me you’d be okay with never working there again?”.

“I don’t know, maybe”.

Taking Mac’s hand, he covered up his surprise by licking his lips. “We both know that job means the world to you”.

Briefly locking eyes, the moon created a midnight glow through the dark grey blinds. It bounced off any shiny surface, and as it hit the side of Mac’s face it beautifully outlined those sharp, defined features. Little did you know, he was also memorized by the way your face, mostly your eyes, captured the light. Whether it was the midnight glow or a different kind of energy, Mac closed the minor gap. “Is that why you called it quits six months ago, ‘cause you didn’t think I loved you as much as my job?”.

“I know you loved me. I just couldn’t compete with a job you couldn’t say no too”. He adverted his gaze. “Hey, it’s okay. I understood the commitment to the Phoenix outweighed any commitment to me”.

Mac slipped his hand out from your grasp, “That makes me sound like I was an awful boyfriend”. He stated in a monotone manner.

“You were anything but, Mac. You made me feel-”.

“Alive. I know, I felt it too”. Leaning against your forehead, he whispered. “I fucking miss it”.

“Me too”. You breathed, purposely making it less audible. A counter measure to  enure a retractable way out, just in case you decided to chicken out. In spite of that thought, the taste of Mac’s lips hindered any rational decisions. It wasn’t like you didn’t want this, you did. In fact, a little too much. So much so that you were willing to risk a minor heartbreak once Mac had no choice but to leave.

He moved the cushion up so you could rest your head. With great multi-tasking skills, Mac managed to effortlessly discarded the top and still leave you dazed by the soft kisses he pressed along your stomach. Lower and lower, things were beginning to get hazy. The removal of clothes took seconds. The art of love making was something Mac prided himself to take nice and slow. Giving your body the attention it deserved.

“I promise, they’ll come a time when it will be you over the Phoenix”. Breathlessly admitting in between each pleasure pulsing
thrusts.

Kissing along his neck, you held on, relishing in every part of Mac. “Don’t make that promise. Not now, not again. Not when you can’t keep it”. Laying you out on the couch, admiring the delicate state you were in, the finale thrust sent your body to it’s climax. Arching your back, loudly moaning his name. Feeling Mac twitch inside of you, he reached his peak, throwing his head back to ride out the high.

Adjusting your top’s strap, Mac wiggled into his sweatpants. “I want to be with you again”.

“Mac, you really need to stop making empty promises”. Rubbing the back of your neck to undo the knot. Closing your eyes, he held onto your waist, pulling you in tighter.

When you awoke from the lack of body heat, you instantly registered the couch had been acting as a bed, flashbacks to the reason why flickering through your mind. You were able to make out 3:15 from the somewhat light source emitting from the microwave. From there a slight neck turn and you found Mac, overlooking the murky scenery. His body language gave the impression he was content, free from any burdens. As you observed his peaceful stance, feeling lightweight was a luxury Mac rarely got to experience. And you wanted him to have this moment, hold onto it, even if it was going to slip through his fingers the minute the sun came up.

“If I quit the Phoenix six months ago would that of changed your mind about leaving?”. He questioned. There was a lot to unravel in his question before you got to the answer. Like how the circumstances for Mac leaving now didn’t align then. Leaning your arms on the couch, Mac made eye contact. “Come back with me?”.

“And do what, try again?”.
Your voice of reason materialized, urging you not to be foolish. One
night you could heal from. Another heartbreak, held grounds for months of self pity and despair. “I wish things could be different.
Mac, I want last night to be every night with you. But, it’s not
possible”.

Taking two strides to reach you,
a pleasant hit of his cologne filled the surrounding air.

“Why can’t it be?. Waking up to each other, coming home to you, why can’t we have that again?”.

Cupping his face, “You’re getting caught up in old feelings and what we just did. Mac, we already know how it’s going to end”.

“So what if I am?. My commitment to the Phoenix is over”.

“Now, but in a few months time it won’t be”.

Disheveling his messy blond locks, Mac’s voice broke. “I can’t have you and I can’t lose you again, what am I suppose to do?”.

“We make each other feel alive for the next few hours until the morning sun rises”. A temporary band-aid fix for a continuous bleeding wound. Was it fair for either of you. Hardly. Regardless, it was the only fix that would do at this time of night.

His kisses tasted like desire. His touches were filled with immense electric passion. His words you held onto for dear life.  Each “I love you”, “you’re beautiful” or “say my name”, made it that much harder to accept the inevitable sunrise. Closing your eyes, you let time slow and loved Mac like he was the only drop of water left in a deserted wasteland.

Legs draped over one another across the timber floorboard, the morning light brought warmth and along with it dread. Mac tickled your lower back, not willing to go through the agony of getting dressed. “I can’t do this, leave that is”. He eyed the dark oak door.

“I know”. Softly responding, kissing the tip of his fingers.

He shakily breathed out, taking time gathering his belongings. When he returned from the guest room he heard the water running from your bathroom ensuite. With bag in hand, Mac made the apprehensive walk towards the door.

The room was silent as you walked in, and it hit you that Mac was no longer here. However, sitting neatly folded on the couch was the blue plaid shirt he wore that night, on top a note.

Thank you for making me feel alive again – Mac.

A tear spilled smudging the ink. Wrapping his shirt around your shoulders, it smelled like a mix of you and him. Sitting on the couch, you ran a hand over the fabric, letting memories consume you.

Meanwhile, sitting outside in his Jeep sat Mac. Gripping the sterling wheel, also letting the memories consume him. The only way he could leave was to force himself to tear his eyes away from the house. Summoning the last ounce of courage coursing through his veins Mac drove away, back to a life without you.

For a moment, I was feeling like I had you. Didn’t wanna leave, I had to

Summary: Custody/Divorce battle with Mac

Side Note: I was watching Suits and the idea just came to me. Your lawyer in this will be Harvey from Suits (if you watch, you know who I’m talking about). Mac’s is going to be made up. Also I know I already used the name Ava, but I like it so I’m using it again.

image

It got ugly real fast – you expected nothing less. He was used to
winning and you weren’t going to back down. And while both of you were
busy firing shots at one another, neither even stopped to consider what
was best for her.

“Sole custody, that’s not what we discussed”. Mac’s eyes grew wide, wiping his sweaty palms across his suit pants.

Only
20 minutes in and it already felt like all the oxygen in the room was
getting sucked out. Quick and easy was what Mac’s lawyer, Ben, promised.
Harvey Specter, however, was a shark. And he wasn’t going to rest until
the best deal, for you, was on the table.

“We can discuss it now, that’s what a settlement is for”. You said.

“And what grounds do you have to request sole custody?”.
Ben asked, flicking through the paperwork, most likely to find a
counter rebuttal. Although, you were certain he wasn’t going to find
one.

Harvey straightened his tie, ready to attack. “On the grounds that your client is an unfit parent”.

“That’s-”.

“Bullshit, I have a list that says otherwise. And since I was in such a generous mood this morning I made you a copy”.

Mac
scanned the list, his jaw clenching the more he read. He was pissed and
disappointed at the line you just crossed. Using the time he was chasing
a lead to paint him as a bad parent, when Ava broke her arm staying
with him at The Phoenix. “Can we have the room?”. His warm blue eyes, the same
ones that greeted you earlier, were now cold as ice.

“I hurt you, I understand that. But I’m not going to let you take away our daughter. She needs her father”.

“She needs stability, Mac, and you can’t give her that”.

“Because of my job?”. He rubbed his temple,

trying to limit the headache that had been forming for the past two weeks. “I can be flexible, she’ll have plenty stability with me”.

Scoffing, another lie he had no problem believing. “Flexible?. Funny, not once did you manage flexibility in the three years we were married”.

“Are married, we’re not divorced yet. And this
is what you want. You’re the one who decided this was for the
best without even so much as considering what Ava needs, what I want”.

Hands together, you took a calming breath. Although, it had zero effect. Calm was the last emotion swirling around in this room.“That’s
nice, make me the villain of the story. Is that so when our daughter
asks why her mum and dad aren’t together anymore, you can just blame
me?”.

“Our daughter shouldn’t even have to ask why her parents aren’t together anymore”. Joining you by the window, he whispered. “It’s
a lot to ask, but I know we can work through this. And I’ll spend the rest of my life finding ways to make up for it, but don’t throw away three years of marriage”.

“You
think I want to throw away three years of marriage?. Because, I don’t.
And it’s killing me that I have to sit in this room and find a way to
live without you. But you kissed her, Mac. And then you came home that
night, lied straight to my face and then made love to me. Do you have
any idea how that makes me feel?”.

When you found out about Mac’s indiscretion, he expressed over and over how sorry he
was about letting Nikki get in his head again. He tried to justify the
kiss as a final goodbye. Like that made it any less of a betrayal.

“I
made an idiotic mistake, let my feelings overpower everything else. But
I don’t deserve to have my daughter taken away because of it”.
He said.

“There are weekends and holidays, you’ll be able to see her”.

“It’s not the same”. Shouting, loosening the tie that had been choking his neck for the last half hour, throwing it carelessly across the table.

“You’re
right, it’s not. And if you had remembered your vows, your daughter,
your love for me then maybe one of them could of stopped you from
tearing us apart. So when our daughter asks why, you can tell her you
screwed up. Because I refuse to sit here and have you make me the bad
guy, when what you did lead us to this”.
Grabbing your purse, the door slammed behind you. The settlement was over as far as you were concerned, everything else the lawyers could take care of. For you had nothing else left to say to Mac.

After
the disaster show this morning, you prayed things would run
smoothly for Ava’s dance recital. Upon taking your seat, a few other
mum’s whispered among themselves, discussing whether the rumors were
true. One even mentioned
Ava, how she was only five and had to witness her parents splitting, how
rough the whole process must be on her. They talked, rather gossiped,
like you weren’t there, like you couldn’t hear their comments.

The
teacher, Miss Evans, finally came on stage, rendering the gossip squad quiet. She greeted the crowd and explained how
hard each student had worked for their first big dance event. Getting
ready to capture every moment on film, Mac took the seat beside you. “You being here is going to give her the wrong idea”.

“I’m not here to argue with you. All I want to do is watch our daughter dance”.

You
couldn’t fault him for showing support. In truth, Mac was the best dad
you’d ever seen, much better then yours ever was. At least Mac was
making an effort. So you remained silent and focused on Ava, who smiled
and danced her little heart out on the stage – happiness glowing all
around her.

“Mum, did you see me?”. She run up, flustered from all the dancing.

“I did, baby, you were amazing”.

When she realized Mac was there, her arms flew around his neck. “You came”.

“Nothing would of stopped me from coming. I love you so much”.

You
turned away, heart heavy at the thought of how you accused Mac of being
an unfit parent. He was anything but. This moment and many others
proved that Ava was Mac’s world, she’d always come first.

“I’ve got your favourite chocolate cake at home. What do you say, would you like a big slice?”. He asked, making her day. She could never say no to cake.

“Please mum, can we?”.

Making
eye contact, this was important to him. You already ruined his
morning there was no way you could ruin an evening with his little
girl. “One slice, and no it doesn’t mean the whole cake”.

She giggled, grabbing your hand and Mac’s, proudly showing off who her parents were.

“Thank you for agreeing to this”.
He said, cleaning up the dirty plates. While you’d just came back from
checking in on Ava, who was completely fast asleep in the guest bedroom.

“Just because we’re getting a divorce doesn’t mean we can’t be civil, especially, in front of our daughter”. Taking
the half filled wine glass, the family photographs grouped together on
several shelves caught your eye – Ava’s birth, her first birthday, your
wedding.

“There’s no reason we can’t add more photos, more memories”. He said.

Taking a sip, “There’s a pretty big reason why we can’t. So please, don’t do that”.

“Do what, save our marriage?”.

“Making it seem like you kissing her isn’t a big deal”.

The
entire situation left a bitter taste in your mouth, it couldn’t be
quelled with alcohol or Mac’s many heartfelt apologies. It was like a
broken record, spinning and spinning on repeat. He moved in front, so
your only view was him. “I messed up and it kills me that I ruined our family. But please-you still love me, I know you do”.

“If this could be fixed by whether or not I still love you, then I wouldn’t have filed for divorce, but-”.

“But nothing. Our love for each other is still there”. Mac’s thumb softly caressed your cheek. “Think about our wedding night. Think about all the times we made love. Think about Ava”.

“I am thinking about her. Hand on his chest, you stared into his warm again blue eyes. And that’s why I asked Harvey to rip up the sole custody papers. You’re not an unfit parent, Mac. And I’m sorry I accused you of being one”.

A
blur filled with endless emotions came as soon as he kissed you.
Without breaking the rhythm, your back met his bed sheets, Mac hovering
above. Your brain was firing all sorts of questions – would you regret
this in the morning?. How will you explain this to Ava or what does
this mean for you and Mac?. And as your logic side ticked off each
question, your desires took the drivers seat. Biting your lip, he gripped your hands above. He matched speed with
pleasure until you called out his name.

A few weeks later

You
and Mac didn’t speak of what happened. It was better that way, or so
you wanted to believe. Packing away the last of the groceries, an
overpowering smell coming from the bag sent you bolting straight to
the bathroom. Emptying out this morning’s breakfast, realization hit. No, it couldn’t be.
Could it?.

Rummaging
through the bathroom drawers, you ripped open the test, peed on the
stick and waited for the longest two minutes of your life to go by. With
shaky hands you turned over the test, two pink lines confirmed what
apart of you already knew – pregnant. Letting the news sink in, you
smiled. Despite how complicated this just made the situation, you were
given Ava a sibling, you were given Mac another child. Was that enough
to repair the marriage?.

The drive to Mac’s consisted of having a mental conversation with yourself on how to break the news to him – gently was the aim.

“Hey, you’re early. Ava is out with Jack and Bozer”. He said, welcoming you inside.

“I’m not here to pick her up just yet. I need to talk to you”. Mac noticed your tense shoulders. Frowning, he waited for you to elaborate. “Maybe you should sit down”.

“I’m fine standing, what did you want to talk about?”.

Breathe. Just breathe.

“I’m pregnant”. Blurting out.

He stepped forward, holding himself back when he realized he couldn’t kiss you. Instead, he pulled you into his embrace. “I know you don’t believe in signs or faith, but you must admit that this”, placing a hand on your stomach, “is a pretty big sign that were still meant to be together. This baby is our chance for a clean state, a new start”. It all sounded perfect in theory, but in reality it wasn’t that simple. Glancing at the floor, Mac lifted your chin. “Come back home. Let’s
start over, the four of us”.

Covering your hand over his. A baby,
one that you and Mac made out of love, even you couldn’t erase that
fact, was growing inside you. Exhaling, “We go slow, I have to learn how to trust you again”.

“That’s fair”. He said, kneeling down. “Did you hear that little man, everything’s going to be okay”.

“You know it could be another girl”.

He smiled, and you shot him a small one in return. “Something
tells me this time around were having a boy. I know you said to take things slow, but I need to say it and you to need to hear it”.

“Mac, I already know”.

“Please, just let me do this”. Slowly tracing the outline of your lips. “I love you so much. And you don’t have to say it back now, but I just want you to know I’ll never stop, no matter what”.

Listening
to your heart, you pulled him down for a long kiss, neither breaking
apart until the need for air became too hard to ignore. The brief pause,
however, didn’t last long. Mac carried you to the bedroom, knowing that
the craving for each other’s touch needed to go beyond just a kiss.

This was going to be a new marriage. A new baby. And a brand new life.

This was a new chapter for you and Mac.

teenwolf-theoriginals:

Sometimes you hated being a girl for this exact reason. Feeling like
two gigantic hands were continuously squeezing your stomach dry. Dealing with appetite being hardly there to wanting to eat everything in sight. And you
couldn’t forget the uncomfortable week of wearing pads or tampons, to
stop what seemed like a endless flow of blood reminding you that you
weren’t pregnant.

Clutching the heat pack, you buried your face into the pillow, trying to limit any sort of movement.

“That time of month again?”.

“No, I’m just scrunched over in pain for fun”.

“I see we’re feeling extra sassy today”. He said, rubbing your back. “Tell me what I can do to help?”.

“Cuddle with me?”.

Kicking off his shoes, he pulled you into his chest. You didn’t know what it was, but Mac had this natural calming presences about him. A simple hug, kiss or smile got your body to relax. You could particularly feel the stress melt away.

“I’m sorry for snapping at you”.

“Don’t worry, I’m use to it”. He said, boldly grinning.

“Wow, I guess I deserved that”.

The pain free moment got rudely interrupted by the current wave of cramps building, gripping Mac’s hand you used the breathing exercises your mum taught you – inhale, hold for five seconds, then exhale slowly. Discarding the heat pad, which by now was losing it’s warmth, Mac rubbed his hand across your stomach, even occasionally drawing light patterns.

“Could you, I don’t know, build a time machine so I can go one week into the future?”.

He laughed, the echo rippling through the room and you closed your eyes to capture the sound for a second longer. “As smart as I am that’s something I can’t do yet. But, would you settle for some chocolate, your favourite movie and more cuddles from your very huggable boyfriend?”.

“If I must”. You said, kissing Mac. “I’m joking, that sounds perfect”.

Pairing: Mac x Reader

Summary: A collection of letters Mac has sent you while he’s in the army.

letter 1 | first week in the army

Dear beautiful,

The first week has been both challenging and interesting. It feels like 100 degrees out here and disarming bombs has it’s fair amount of nerves and pressure. But I don’t want you to worry, (even though I know you will) because I’m okay. Oh, did I tell?. The sergeant assigned me a new partner, his a real piece of work, I don’t know how I’m going to work with him. His name is Jack Dalton and while his not the brightest tool in the box, I’ll admit his a damn good solider.

I know this isn’t exactly easy for you. And I can’t imagine how you must be feeling. But I promise that I’m going to do everything in power to make it back to you safely. I know that might not be the greatest comfort, after all their just words scribbled down on a piece of paper. So while I can’t give you a hug, or even kiss those perfect lips of yours, I want you to remember that I love you. Remember that when times are tough, remember that when you can’t sleep and remember that when you count down the days until I come home to you. And I will come home to you. Because there is nothing more in this world that I want then to see your beautiful face, hold you close and hear your voice.

Only 12 months to go, baby. I know we can make it.

Love always,

Angus Macgyver

letter 2 | birthday

Dear beautiful,

By the time you get this letter the day would have either gone by or not yet come around. Either way Happy Birthday!. I’ll admit it kills me that I can’t be there when you wake up to shower you in kisses and love. But I know that you’ll have the most amazing down regardless. I want you to promise that you’ll enjoy the day, smile and know that I’m always thinking of you.

I asked Bozer to come by and keep you company, even cook you a wonderful meal. And while this may not be the most lavish birthday gift, I meet this talented women who hand makes such beautiful bracelets, so I got you one. I just hope it makes it to you, if not then I’ll bring one home.

I love you.

Remember, smile and have the best time on your birthday. Because the last thing I want you to be is sad.

Only 7 months to go, baby. I know we can make it.

Love always,

Angus Macgyver

letter 3 | valentines day

Dear beautiful,

That photo you sent wearing your birthday dress, wow!. God, you’re really trying to drive me crazy.

By the way I hope you got the roses I told Bozer to deliver?. And I know you hate valentines day, and as usually I never listen because you
deserve to be spoiled, and no matter how many miles is in between us
that’ll never change.

Today has been a bit rough, Jack accidentally stepped on a pressure plate. Had to save his ass, but that’s nothing new. And before you panic we’re both fine. After his brush with death his been different, to my surprise we’re getting along. I hope once this tour ends you can meet him, I think you two will like each other.

Before I forget how did that big meeting go?. They’d be idiots not to promote you, after all my girl is quite talented. We’re about to head out and I promise to be careful and safe. I love you.

Only 4 months to go, baby. I know we can make it.

P.S – When I get home I want you wear that dress, so I can slowly take it off.

Love always,

Angus Macgyver

letter 4 |
anniversary

Dear beautiful,

Everyday I wake up a lucky man, and
today is no different. We’re miles apart but that still hasn’t changed
how I feel about you. These last two years have been absolutely amazing.
Who knew that shy girl at M.I.T who ended up being paired with me all
year, would turn out to be the most important part of my life.

I’m
so glad you’re loving the bracelet and when I get back we’re going to
celebrate our anniversary (I got a couple of ideas in mind). And don’t
worry we won’t be spending it in bed all day, even though I know you’d
enjoy that. After all you can’t resist this handsome face. On a serious
note, I never want you to doubt how important you are to me. Two years strong and a lifetime to go!.

I’m
afraid I have to cut this letter short, Jack is calling me to get my
ass in the vehicle. Oh and speaking of Jack, we’re getting along much better
now. His still a pain in the ass but I’m learning a lot from him, and
I’m teaching him a few things too.

Happy anniversary,
beautiful. I love you and I can’t wait to get back and celebrate, just
you and me.

Only 1 month to go, baby. I know we can make it.

Love always,

Angus Macgyver

letter 5 | coming home

Dear beautiful,

My last letter, I can’t believe I’m coming home this month. It all feels surreal, but I’m so ready to catch that plane and see your face. My experience in the army has taught me a lot. How to be a better solider, better friend, but more importantly a better man.

You asked me before I left about our future and I know it wasn’t fair for me to put that on hold. But I’m ready to start our lives together. So much so that I want you to move in with me. I know it’s a crappy way to ask, but I don’t want to wait anymore. You can give me your answer once I’m home, but I hope it’s a yes.

By the way, Jack has heard some pretty incredible things about you. His made me promise to introduce you two. He may be a little too excited once I told him that you could beat him in an arm wrestling contest. He told me to tell you that he’ll beat your ass. In saying that, kick his ass, baby.

I’ve got one last mission to go on, but after that I’m done. And there is nothing stopping me from coming home. I love you so fucking much.

Only 48 hours to go, baby. We made it.

Love always,

Angus Macgyver

teenwolf-theoriginals:

Not only did he look different, but there was something about him that changed during those months in Niagara. He wasn’t your Mac anymore. He was someone else’, and not one part of you knew how to process that new found information.

“Here, let me take your bag”.

“I got it”.

Mac blocked the stairwell to the jet, taking the few extra minutes as Jack talked on the phone to finally have a one-on-one conversation with you. “Since when?. You hate carrying your bag”.

“Yeah, well. Things change”.

“What is that suppose to mean?”.

“Nothing, forget it”.

Within seconds Mac occupied the chair opposite, and your view of the runway suddenly became the most interesting piece of scenery you’d ever seen. He whispered your name, his soft tone layered with a plea to look at him. “Talk to me”.

“Why?. I already know what you’re going to say”.

“Oh yeah, what’s that?”. He said, narrowing his eyes. “Come on, if you know me so well, prove it”.

“You left, Mac. But that’s not even the part that hurts. It’s that you fell in love with someone else. So when I tell you I love you, you’re going to tell me you have no idea what to say. Or that even if I told you sooner the timing wasn’t right. Or that you don’t feel the same”.
Flickering your eyes up, you met his blank stare.

“And even though your home, this isn’t where your heart is anymore”.

After the tiresome mission infiltrating a top of the notch security filled mansion, you relished in the tranquility of soft music and a warm shower. Running a hand over the steamed up mirror, you took a breath.

“I thought me telling you to abort coming upstairs was a pretty clear instruction to follow”. Mac pressed his hands on the wall, taking a peak to determine if the coast was clear.

“Riley needed a few more minutes to extract the data from his phone. And we would of gotten it if you didn’t feel the need to come save me, and do your part in making sure he stayed downstairs”.

“I can’t believe you’re blaming me”. He said, letting out a throaty chuckle.

“I had this, but you wouldn’t listen”.

“You’re the one who hasn’t been listening to me since we got off the plane, so don’t turn this around on me“. He sighed, lowering his voice. “I get you’re mad, but taking those feelings out on the field is dangerous”.

Leaning as far back as you could, it still made no difference.

“I can never be mad at you, Mac. I realized that after you left. I wanted to be, but I-I just couldn’t”.

Jumping at the sound of the doorbell, your eyes darted to the time. It was way to late or in this case early for any visitors.

“You’re wrong”.

“Excuse me?”. Tightening the robe around your frame, frowning at his random outburst.

“If you’d told me you loved me, I wouldn’t of ignored it or said I didn’t feel the same way”.

“Mac, you don’t need to make me feel better”.

“I’m not. I’m telling you that my heart is here, with you”. Wishing you were close enough to grab something, Mac, yet again, came to your rescue. “Those few months in Niagara were great to forget all about my dad being Overwatch. But just like you couldn’t be mad at me for leaving, I couldn’t forget you".

“Seemed to me like you did a pretty good job”.

His thumb followed your collarbone, outlined your lips and lingered on your chin. “My relationship with Nasha isn’t as serious as you think it is”.

“Wha-what are you saying?”.

“That I love you too”.
