the “___ change my mind” guy sitting at a desk is Steven Crowder who is literally a deep conservative “comedian” and the biggest transphobe of 2018 so can we NOT use that meme anymore thanks. he literally calls trans people tr**** in some of his videos and refers to caitlyn jenner (I may not like her but Christ) as a transgender f@scist because she transitioned and refers to her transitioning as “going full #sjw.” this meme is cancelled and not funny. use google if you don’t believe me. bye
yeah actually i did some research (googling. i googled) and this is what the the original image was: (as opposed to what i first saw it as and what other might have, and had assumed that was the real one)
he does stuff like that a lot;
so yeah Yikes.
Shit, I just looked him up as well.
Fucking YIKES, meme cancelled.
FYI. Don’t reblog or make any more memes from this guy. Fucking creep.
Listen, after the whole debacle with Ultron settles, Tony actually goes and sees the satellite footage of however many combat missions Rhodey had flown by now as War Machine.
He then pays a top-notch editor a ton of money to produce a video montage of the War Machine story, including never before seen footage of Rhodey from Tony’s personal archives.
The next morning, he makes a rare appearance on Good Morning America and just says, “I came here because it’s gonna be the fourth of July soon and I wanted to honor one of America’s finest. A true hero in every sense of the word, who has gone above and beyond the line of duty for his country and his friends. I’ve brought some footage with me.”
By this point everyone is expecting a cheesy video montage honoring Captain America but instead, boom, the 5 minute 32 seconds clip about Rhodey airs instead – including an aerial shot of him dropping the tank in front of the General’s palace with an underlying soundtrack from Die Hard.
And later, Rhodey is sitting his dumb ass in a conference room full of senior air force and army personnel, all of whom are watching the video because it’s become a viral hit already. Everyone is talking about War Machine – America’s newest hero. Meanwhile, Rhodey is doing his best to keep his composure and to blink back tears, when his phone goes off. It’s a text that reads: Got room for a gold titanium alloy sidekick, Honeybear?
Y’all please reblog because this is fucking terrifying. It’s yet another attempt to sabotage any attempt at the poor receiving any kind of health care. God forbid you ever get fired and can’t declare yourself permanently disabled.
Make no mistake: people WILL DIE from this.
Contact your reps however you can. Use Resistbot and more importantly, just spread this shit around because I KNOW there’s a bunch of you on here that are directly affected by this.
Please share far and wide.
It’s murder. Murder by apathy. Murder by politics. Murder by making sick people choose between bankrupting their families or dying to save them from that fate.
There’s a reason why they’re doing this. Why they’re trying to bury the ADA. The ACA. Food stamps. Every social program.
They want to hoard even more money for the rich, for the military industrial complex, for themselves. And they’ll literally kill sick and poor people for that goal. Because we’re nothing to them. We’re not worth a damn thing. If we die? If we go bankrupt? Homeless? Starve? They don’t care. It’s a benefit for their desires to be richer if we’re dead.
This isn’t just politics. This isn’t policy differences. Calling it that santizes and disguises the truth: we, as a people, let other human beings die, starve, go bankrupt and homeless every single day. Those in power are just trying to expand that to more of us now.
If any of y’all think “this is murder” is an exaggeration… Let me paint you a picture.
My clients are all disabled, in some way or another. They all have a serious physical disability, chronic illness, or psychiatric diagnosis that prevents them from working. They are also all homeless. And every single one is on Medicaid.
And, I bet many of you didn’t know, but dictating who gets access to certain kinds of housing (specifically housing for people with serious mental illness- permanent housing) is in part determined by how high your Medicaid usage is.
So, where does this shit leave us? Well, first off, it leaves my clients without any kind of insurance. All of them need medication, all of them go to the doctor and/or hospital frequently. All of them rely on Medicaid. So add a work requirement to Medicaid, and where does that leave people who are physically and mentally incapable of working? Yeah. In the fucking dust.
Now, take away their Medicaid, and their chances of getting into permanent housing drop, too. So not only do they not have the means to get their medications and see their doctors and go to the hospital when they fucking NEED TO, now they no longer qualify for most of the housing that I am trying to get them into. So, they end up back on the street or in dangerous, overcrowded shelters with NO medication, NO doctors, NO hospitals, and almost no fucking chance of getting into housing because they have no Medicaid because they apparently need to work to have Medicaid and they CANNOT. FUCKING. WORK.
SO this is murder. This is murder of people like my clients, who rely on Medicaid and related services. This will be the death of hundreds if not thousands of Americans.
I don’t really have the energy for it, but I looked into things a little.
Kentucky, South Dakota, Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, Kansas, Indiana, and Arkansas are the 9 states I could find named as seeking the work requirement. [x]
Kentucky passed their requirement the day after the article link at the top of this post, on Jan 12th. [x] Indiana passed their’s on Feb 2nd. [x] Kansas seems to have possibly enacted this sometime late Jan, but could still be in the proposal stage. [x] Virginia is the most recent, in the past few days of late Feb. [x]
This IS happening. It’s not a posturing thing, or a goal they have. They are acting on it NOW.
If you live in Kentucky, South Dakota, Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, Kansas, Indiana, or Arkansas, call your elected officials NOW and complain like mad about this reprehensible change.
“1. leave your soulmate behind in the house you grew up in.
leave a packed bag always waiting in the bottom of your closet.
pick it up and leave on one nondescript day and leave no note of explanation or apology or love.
and if your heart leaps to break out of your ribcage in protest, let it. bury it in the floorboards beneath your soulmate’s bed
and leave no gravestone to mark where it died. when the monsters come next time, they will find no threads to entrap you in and no heart to carve out of your chest.”
Okay, you need to make sure you play this game at some point. Maybe not today or anything, because you’ll need about thirty minutes and a serious willingness to understand how it works, but – it’s so worth it. It’s basically an answer to our occasional frustration – why do assholes always come out on top? – and the beautiful thing about it is that not only does it explain how that happens, but also how we can change it.
“In the short run, the game defines the players. But in the long run, it’s us players who define the game.”
This is fascinating if you’re into math or sociology or computer programming or all of the above.
Everyone, everywhere, without exception, should play this thing through.
Don’t check just this – check out all of Nicky Case’s work.
They’re a brilliant creator and I heavily recommend checking out at least one of their projects. Their website can be found here.
Parable of the Polygons – an interactive experiment that shows how tiny individual biases can collectively cause segregation on a massive scale.
To Build a Better Ballot – an interactive experiment that shows the alternatives to the voting systems we currently use and how they can be more representative and democratic, along with their faults.
Coming Out Simulator – a short interactive story/novel about coming out, based off of Case’s own experiences. Not one I’ve played myself but still one I can recommend.
Loopy – a very simple but useful tool to show how systems interact with each other and how things can self-propagate.

So I was taught a lesson in how to get rid of a migraine in 30 seconds and omfg listen my migraines don’t go away ever but I was shown what part of my body to touch and like???????????????
It’s witchcraft????????? Like I would be burned at the stake if I lived in ye olde days knowing that information?????
What the fuck??????
Spill it! Lol….Hooooowwwww?? Had migraines since age 9….😓😓😓
Its called the T4 push, but I literally can’t find the info online????? I guess I’m not searching good enough? These medical fuckers are holdin out on us lol.
It’s best to have someone do this for you while you stand up and relax your muscles as best you can, but if you’re alone, a tennis ball and a flat surface will probably work. Alternatively you can lie on the edge of a bed at the pressure point. (But no really do try to find someone to do it for you)
Find the area in your spine between either the first, second, third, or fourth vertebrae. It should be sore and uncomfortable to press down on, so look for the one that’s most painful, and press down with as much pressure as you can on that area for 30 seconds.
Realize that 80% of your pain has magically disappeared and keep the info secret if you live in a small puritan town, lest you be tried for witchcraft.
If you don’t have to worry about being burned or hanged, then share the info with your migraine suffering friends.
As someone who wrote a 10k word paper on pressure points for a high belt ranking test in her martial arts class, I can tell you that you just found a pressure point used in acupressure and acupuncture to relieve pain, particularly that in the head. 🙂
Hand to god we discovered this by accident when my husband was rubbing my neck and I nearly collapsed it felt so good
This post was sent by literal angels??? I’ve had a persistent low-level headache for nearly 24hrs and now it’s gone??? In 30 seconds? What gods did you sacrifice to for this information!?!?
As a medical massage therapist, I thought I would give my two cents.
This is good for tension migranes and normal migraines, but actually pretty useless for sinus migraines. It’ll help for a hot second, but quickly come back. (These are usually the migraines behind your eyes, in your ears, and behind your forehead. Sometimes it can feel like jaw pain or TMJ) for sinus migraines, behind the ear in a divot. Press down firmly and pull towards your collarbone. That’ll drain your sinuses. Also, pressing around the eye socket on the cheekbones help. There is also a little triangle up away from the eye in the eyebrow bone. Press and hold pretty hard and that’ll relieve that behind the forehead pain. Also, ear pulling is great to help move sinuses around.
Don’t forget the temples too! Press firmly and hold. Open and close your jaw while holding your temples. It’ll feel weird, but it’ll help with jaw pain. It’ll work a similar way if you hold the jaw joint under your cheekbone.
And never underestimate the power of a foot massage!! Give minutes can be all the difference!! Our feet are our base. If they hurt even a little, somewhere else in your body will hurt. Treat your feet and sinuses kindly!
As a lifelong sufferer from frequent migraines I will reblog this everytime I see it, for myself and my fellow sufferers!!
For TMJ-type pain, put the tip of your tongue against the back of your top front teeth. It won’t go away completely, but it helps.
So if I’m understanding this, it should be the C4 push because it’s the vetebrae in the neck, and from my own medical history, that’s where I have a lot of muscle tension, and I right now my treatment is focused on relieving the muscle tension only in my lower back and shoulders, not my neck directly. I’m basically still using pain killers to mask the pain, and that has kind of stopped working again.
Huh, this sounds like something I need to bring up with one of my numerous doctors/medical professionals. I even have a tennis ball from physical therapy so I guess I could try it on my own? Sounds good to me!!
Reblogging this from my main. If you suffer from chronic migraines or headaches, check out the notes on this. This makes a lot of sense, and I will be trying this out for myself probably later today.
