Could you write your Headcanons involving Batman being the Mom Friend or Mom Hero, please? It’s just so many people write Bruce as this brooding alone figure and I’m over here thinking of the dark knight making sure the Robins aren’t chilly in the Gotham nights

This was hiding in my inbox, whoops!

  • “Don’t do that”, “don’t touch that”, and “go to med-bay right now immediately” are just some of the phrases Bruce pulls out regularly. He uses them more with his adult Justice League teammates than with his teenage partners. He has his kids trained
  • His teammates just… learn to bring issues to him? Batman did not encourage this, and no one told them to. But after you spend time around Bruce, you just. Kind of gravitate towards him sometimes. He’s intimidating, sure, but he’s not dangerous unless you’ve done something worth his wrath.
  • Bruce [typing at the Watchtower consoles, Flash leaning on the wall next to him, munching on a Costco sized bag of potato chips and explaining his Issues]: “Have you tried talking to Cyborg about this?”
  • Heroes have literally come to Bruce for financial advice and help with their taxes (at this point: Clark, Barry, Vic, Diana, and a very annoyed Hal)
  • Baby heroes are SO SCARED of him at first. Catch those same baby heroes a few years later whining as Bruce detours to the kitchen to grab them lunch before taking them straight to med-bay.
  • Tim is cackling at his fellow Titans getting manhandled and the lectured. Finally, he gets to watch someone who’s not a Bat deal with this.
  • Also: reporters will try to small talk heroes post-mission like they’re regular celebrities and not superhumans/aliens in colourful spandex. One corners Diana and Barry and asks, tone teasing, if there’s a ‘Mom Friend’ in the League.
  • “Mom Friend?” Diana asks, winding up her lasso absent-mindedly.
  • “The responsible one. The sensible person who makes sure nobody gets themselves killed. Who acts, y’know.” Barry makes a gesture in the air. “Like a Mom.”
  • “Oh,” Diana says. “So Batman.”
  • Barry shrugs. “Yeah, Batman.”
  • The reporter’s mouth falls open. “Batman?” Under her breath, she whispers, “Batman is the Mom Friend?”
  • For the rest of the week, the internet is swept up with: THE BATMAN IS THE MOM FRIEND. Everyone who’s not a hero or a Gotham resident (because the Bat being the Mom friend is not a surprise to his rogues tbh – they’ve seen more than one iteration of Robin (and, once, Nightwing) hide under his cape) is shocked. It’s a meme. The Batman: Dark Night, bringer of justice, vigilante, mom friend.

this is my new favorite. i will read it EVERY DAY.

Guys, please be careful to vet that what you choose to signal boost is actually accurate. I’m seeing a lot of well-intentioned posts today about Net Neutrality that are likely to do just as much harm as good due to misinformation in them.

For instance, we are not all suddenly shouting that the sky is falling because the FCC has PASSED the bill abolishing Net Neutrality and the changes are to be put in place some time this month. As claimed by one post I just saw with over 5,000 notes already. This is simply, unequivocally NOT true, and it can actually get in the way of the call to action that very post made, asking people to call and email their congressmen, because a lot of people who see that might think “what’s the point, if its already passed?”

It hasn’t. Chairman Ajit Pai of the FCC unveiled in April his proposed plan to strike back the Net Neutrality regulations Obama’s administration passed in 2015, and which have since 2015 been upheld by the courts in the face of Republican opposition’s attempts to claim they overreached. What has people shouting the sky is falling NOW is because yesterday (November 21st) is when the date of the official vote on this proposed plan was announced. That date is December 14th.

Which means there IS still time to affect the outcome of the vote. People are pessimistic about the chances of this vote because the FCC board is held by a Republican majority at the moment, but make the passing of this bill seem toxic enough to other Republican interests and there is still a chance to keep it from passing.

Which is still a hell of a lot better than assuming the bill has already passed and that there’s really no point.

We have until December 14th to kick up enough of a fuss that the Republicans on the FCC board think twice about voting for this bill. And even after that, there are still legal recourses. The courts have refused to uphold other bills Trump’s administration has attempted to pass as overreaching, unconstitutional, and/or in opposition of the true will of the people – just as the Republicans attempted to do back in 2015 when the FCC under Obama passed the Net Neutrality laws in the first place.

This does not mean be complacent. This does not mean assume enough other people will raise enough of a fuss without adding your voice to the mix. It simply means THERE IS STILL TIME TO ACT. The sky may be falling, but until it finishes falling, there’s still a chance to catch it instead.

We have until December 14th to kick up enough of a fuss that the Republicans on the FCC board think twice about voting for this bill.

there IS still time to affect the outcome of the vote.

The internet just changed: Net Neutrality is dead.

Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a “ fast lane” of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. [1] The proposal reverses the FCC’s previous commitment to net neutrality and open internet and allows ISP’s like Comcast or Verizon to slow down and censor services that don’t pay the toll.

We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim. But there is still hope. The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through. If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.

We need to stop the FCC now. Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesday’s announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward. [2]

This is a critical moment. In the last few weeks more than 65,000 people have taken action with us. Can you help us get to 80,000 by the end of the day today?

Fight For The Future

we’re almost ¾ of the way there!! c’mon guys, every bit counts!

will it ever stop

fucking signal boost

IF YOU ARE NOT SIGNAL BOOSTING THIS YOU ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION.

IF THE U.S. FALLS TO THIS IT WILL OPEN OTHER DANGEROUS DOORS INTERNATIONALLY.

Start a civil war against the US government.

Signal boost for my us followers

I try to keep the things I reblog as blog/mun-centric as possible, but this is something I just can’t let slide.

I’ve been following this cause since last year.  I’ve signed petitions, I’ve called representatives, I’ve been to protests, the whole nine yards.

This right here?  This is not a joke.  This is seriously happening, guys.

Remember the Wikipedia shutdown?  That was to protest this right here.  If you haven’t taken action against this yet, frankly, what is wrong with you?  If this doesn’t get stopped, we’re going to lose the thing that brings us all together unless we shell out huge sums of cash to these corrupt bastards.

Do not just sit there and keep browsing.

Do not scroll past this.

Fight.

Sometimes I just start singing and my mom joins in

Whoa…

#don’t trust this
#they’re probably sirens

These two are singing “O magnum mysterium” by Tomas Luis De Victoria! It’s a very pretty piece from the renaissance that has a lot of different voice parts singing totally different melodies that mesh well together. I sung tenor for a song of his as well. It sounds ethereal in cathedrals and bathrooms alike my opinion. Its the room’s ability to bounce sound and make it resonate, giving it it’s “mermaid siren” like quality. It sounds great. Congratulations, you both! Sounds very pretty and seems like a fun time to clean with things like that.

yes its back on my dash

god lol

I always reblog the bathroom sirens ❤

Welcome to why I sing in stairwells and bathrooms. IT SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER.

I downloaded this song I love it
