Friendly reminder that this hell site is owned by Yahoo, a company who are now actively advocating for the death of Net Neutrality.

Friendly fucking reminder that the site is actively forcing users to unfollow the net neutrality tag after 20 or so minutes of following it.

Friendly reminder that this site is now actively trying to limit our ability to share information and spread awareness.

Edited! Made all links clickable as well as added more information. I will continue to edit when someone post other important information so everyone can see it!!

If you don’t know about Net Neutrality well you need to know about it now. This is no joke or a game because if we don’t do something living expenses are going be harder to meet.

If you thought being a college student is expensive bc of books and tuition imagine what you’ll be paying just to do a research paper.

If you were against paying for YouTube red well it won’t matter bc you’ll have to pay just to access the website. This goes for all social media sites as well. You’ll have to pay to access your email.

Forget paying for basic internet speed you’ll be paying for packages that will only allow you to access certain websites. It’s these packages is the reason why many cut cable and only pay for Netflix. To access the internet will become more expensive and controlled. Let that sink in if it hasn’t already.

That is why we need to take action. And this post will make it easy for you to do that.

I am writing to express my support for Net Neutrality. The internet is and has been such a vital tool for so many people, and we must ensure equal access to the internet, and equal access to knowledge.

Various companies such as Facebook and Google are also against this act, as they acknowledge that the repealment of Net Neutrality will allow telecom companies to play favorites with their customers. That is not fair. How many more services and institutions must fall victim to elitism, to classism? Simply because some detached wealthy people in high places want to restrict access to an extremely valuable and revolutionary resource?

Are people not already paying for Internet access? Why must we restrict them further?

This is not just about the consumer; it is about companies as well. Smaller companies will not be able to keep up in this proposed environment, as they will be charged more by telecom companies for faster connection speeds.

Repealing Net Neutrality restricts access to knowledge, restricts our freedom, hurts small businesses, and has the potential to further the economic divide in American society.

I urge you, as our representative, to take our interests to heart and act against Ajit Pai and his plan to destroy Net Neutrality. Just take a moment and think, think about how practically every single aspect of our lives ties back to the Internet. Your decision will impact millions of lives. Thank you

Hey what the fuck happened to all the net neutrality coverage

This shit is still happening people, and all of the sudden its disappeared from my dash almost entirely over night

I don’t know why, but I think people are automatically being unfollowed from the Net Neutrality tag. It happens to me every time I try to follow it. I’ll follow the tag, come back 20 minutes later & I’ll for some reason have unfollowed the tag automatically. I think this may be happening to a majority of people in an attempt to silence the resistance. Please take a screen shot of this post in case it gets deleted.

hey yeah can yall reblog this cause this is very important. Tumblr is ACTIVELY trying to silence out outrage at this by making us incapable of seeing coverage of events. We’re all gonna have to come together and step up about this.

Every little note counts, spread the word, dont give in so easily

I just checked this and i can CONFIRM that tumblr AUTOMATICALLY MAKES YOU UNFOLLOW THE NET NEUTRALITY TAGS AFTER 20 MINUTES

Please spread the word! Screen shot this post just in case it gets deleted!!

There is a reason that happens.  Tumblr is OWNED by Verizon who is a leader in throwing money at getting rid of Net Neutrality.  They have spent literally millions to bring it down so that they can charge you more, slow down your internet and block you from sites they do not deem appropriate.  Keep sending in letters, emails and making phone calls.  IF you post about it ADD links for FS!

You (or your parents) pay approx $40-$100 or higher for internet.

So that you can all use youtube, google, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, etc. etc. etc. This isn’t limited to social media.

Net neutrality says, “Okay, since you already paid x amount of money for the month, you don’t have to pay for each asset individually. Enjoy your internet.”

NO net neutrality means that your service provider (comcast, at&t, verizon, whatever it may be) gets to say “ACTUALLY, it lines our pockets so give us an extra $5.99 for Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. Oh, but that doesn’t include Tumblr; that comes with our premium package. That’ll be $5.99 on its own as well. Now about your Google docs and email…

That’s why it’s important. That’s why I’m spamming Net Neutrality crap. If you’re using the internet, it’s YOUR problem.

-Email your congressman (text resist to 50409) It’s easy, you don’t have to talk to anyone.

-Tweet the FCC. https://twitter.com/FCC

-Tweet THIS guy. https://twitter.com/AjitPaiFCC

-CALL. https://www.battleforthenet.com/

This site does the heavy lifting for you.

-Sign this.

-Sign this

-Email your congressmen (that’s what I’m doing) https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

-Swim the #NetNeutrality tag on Twitter. Seriously, it’s helpful.

And lastly, GET THIS TRENDING. It’s trending on Twitter but it needs to trend here too. This is everyone’s issue.

Okay guys. I got this info from talking with a MN congressman

Whenever you are contacting your representatives in an attempt to influence their vote, DO NOT use a script you found online or any other sort of default message. Sadly, you can actually hurt your cause by doing this.

When politicians receive the same message with the exact same words over and over again they view it pretty much the same way we view spam from PETA.

All they see is a wave of messages from a mass of zombies with no individual thought, just following the lead lemming and echoing what has been handed down.

When they see the same message over and over again, they pretty much assume it’s from a small group of people that organized and decided to get loud but are not actually representative of the population. Just like how PETA can be loud but isn’t actually representative of most animal lovers.

Everyone hates PETA; don’t be like PETA.

Take the time to write the message yourself in your own words. It can say functionally the same thing as that script off tumblr, but the more personal you make it, the more human it will read. Be a person, not a lemming.

TL:DR

Don’t use a script. It hurts more than it helps. Use your own words. You don’t have to eloquent. It just has to be not the same sentences they’ve read/heard hundreds of times

Ps. Not trying to imply you’re shit for using a script. I use to use scripts all the time. Now I know better.

Also, DON’T STRESS about what exactly you say. Say what you think and feel, say how this is gonna affect you and yours in a shitty way, say what you’re mad about (or what you’re happy about that they *are* supporting, if they’re already on our side) and that you will be watching and will vote. I remember Indivisible saying it helps if you specifically ask them to follow up with you about this, repeating your full address (or maybe your phone number). Make them pay attention. Make them interact with you. Even if they’re gonna say bullshit back to you, make them take the time. Make them have to think enough about you to do that. Take up their fuckin’ time. Talk to people. Fuckin’ vote. (If you can! Just do what you can. We’re in this together.) (And I fuckin’ love the Stance app. Write a memo, call and record your message, hit send and you’re good.)

This is important and here’s some more good information about how you can help. 😉

k so i made a post about this a while ago but i’m still seeing a lot of people reblog posts with links to these sites:

  • B*eautiful H*alo
  • D*ress L*ily
  • T*winkle D*eals
  • S*ammy D*ress

THEY ARE SCAMS, and they’re all run by the same person. more often than not they don’t deliver their products, and when they do, they’re usually late, and/or much poorer quality than advertised. some people even complain that there were holes or stains in the clothes. also, their customer service doesn’t refund anyone.

many tumblr blogs will post a suspicious amount of “fashion” or “wishlist” posts which redirect to these addresses. they’re either paid to do so or are run by the company, i’m assuming. (there’s a big issue on tumblr where people are asked to advertise for these companies and have their accounts deactivated as a result. also, many of them weren’t actually compensated)

be careful who you buy from and who you follow. and no matter how strapped you are for cash, agreeing to advertise for these people isn’t a wise choice

since it’s nearing Christmas, I figure now is a good time to bring this back. don’t buy from skeezy sweatshops, if you can help it.

not only are there misleading blog posts which have links to these sites, but a year or two ago i remember getting an inbox message asking for my email address, for a commission opportunity. someone from one of these sites asked me to draw fictional characters in b*eautiful h*alo clothing and link back to the site, for compensation! these people are crafty. be mindful of where you shop!!

Wait, are the sites scams, or the links? Cuz I have a friend who ordered from Sam my Dres s many times and I’m wondering if I should tell her to be on the look out for id theft/fraud or weird charges. D:

I’ve read it.  It’s great.  A dozen short stories written by some very good authors, with That Original Tumblr Post as the introduction.

I’m sure there are tons of amazing novels in progress (including mine), and that will take time.  But in the meantime, humans are weird short stories!!
